Notice of Requested Architectural Services
Notice is hereby given of the commencement of the selection process for architectural programming services for the Kansas Commission on Veteran’s Affairs. On March 2, 2021, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly issued Executive Order 21-07 directing the Kansas Commission on Veteran’s Affairs to submit an application to the United States Department of Veteran’s Affairs, and to the State Veteran’s Home Construction Grant Program, for the construction of a new state veteran’s home in northeast Kansas. Services will include programming for a new approximately 72-bed Long-Term Care Facility. The site has not been selected and the firm will assist in evaluating potential sites of approximately 25 to 50 acres. The project may be completed in phases and will explore construction management at risk as an alternative delivery method. The selected consultants may be retained to provide full design and construction administrative services pending legislative directive. The project cost is estimated at $30,000,000.
